The team that built this.

Four people. Acoustic sensing and systems architecture, applied geophysics and GPR hardware, autonomous robotics and mesh firmware, and special operations field integration. That's the coverage the problem requires. No generalists. Small by design.

Yadin Soffer, CEO and Co-Founder

Yadin Soffer

CEO & Co-Founder

Systems architect with a background in distributed acoustic sensing and signal classification for subsurface survey applications. Prior to founding Tarysar, spent four years designing multi-node acoustic arrays for borehole geophysical logging — work that exposed how poorly existing sensor architectures translated to constrained, GPS-denied environments. Led the Tarysar SDS from first 4-node hardware prototype through field test v1.2.

Dr. Maren Solberg, CTO

Dr. Maren Solberg

CTO & Co-Founder

PhD in applied geophysics, with dissertation work on seismic array processing for shallow-subsurface characterization. Leads sensing hardware development and the edge classification architecture — the GPR frequency-tuning protocol and the seismic geophone array design are hers. Prior work in downhole instrument design for the energy sector, where she built experience with the low-power, high-noise-floor constraints that define underground sensing.

James Carrera, VP Engineering

James Carrera

VP Engineering

Embedded systems and autonomous robotics engineer. Responsible for the effector module navigation stack — dead-reckoning inertial odometry, SLAM integration, and the 915 MHz mesh comm firmware. Previous experience in autonomous ground vehicle platforms for industrial applications.

Omar Khalidi, Head of Field Operations

Omar Khalidi

Head of Field Operations

Field integration and operational testing lead. Manages all external test deployments, writes deployment protocols, and interfaces with defense and industrial program teams during evaluation engagements. Background in special operations support and tactical systems fielding.

We're hiring.

Small team means high leverage. We are looking for embedded systems engineers, RF and signal processing specialists, and field operations personnel with underground or confined-space experience.
